Starting November 10, the City of Santa Barbara will accept proposals from eligible applicants for the fiscal year 2014-2015 Human Services and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs.
Interested applicants MUST have attended the MANDATORY Application Orientation and Technical Assistance Workshop, on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2014
The City makes available monies from its General Fund to support human services programs that provide direct social services to low-income city residents. Also, The City of Santa Barbara receives an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are made available to the City to undertake specific eligible projects and programs that develop a viable urban community by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment.
The estimated amount of available funding is $823,344 in combined Human Services and CDBG Public Service funds and $532,163 in CDBG Capital.
Human Services and CDBG funds are to be used for programs that principally benefit low to moderate-income persons. Maximum incomes are shown in the chart linked here.

Applications are to be submitted ONLINE using the web management system. The City will not accept hardcopy, faxed, or emailed applications or attachments.
Applications with all required attachments are due
4:30 p.m. DECEMBER 16, 2014
The system will not allow you to save or submit your application after 4:30 p.m. December 16.
A submittal that is found to be incomplete in any way will be considered invalid.
A separate application is required for each program or project.
Public/Human Service Applicants must submit a Public & Human Service Application.
Capital Applicants are required to submit a separate Capital Application.
